Job Listings
Job Listings is a data page on the Companies desk of Glassbox Auditing. How many jobs each company has open and how many are new, and the same by industry and across the whole job market, from two free job-posting APIs. Postings show hiring plans before they appear in payrolls, so they are an early read on companies' spending and on the labor market.

What does this page lead to?
- Labor Market (Macro): Open postings lead hiring, so the JOLTS job-openings count and later payroll growth tend to move with them. (moves the same way; 1-2 months; economy scale) Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
- H-1B & Talent (Immigration): Companies with many open engineering roles are the largest H-1B sponsors, so their postings and visa petitions tend to rise together. (moves the same way; months; sector scale) Source: USCIS H-1B Employer Data Hub.
- AI Companies (AI): Open roles at AI companies are where new funding goes first, so a lab's postings tend to rise after it raises money. (moves the same way; months; sector scale) Source: artificialintelligencejobs.co jobs API (live jobs at AI companies, from their career pages).
- US Map (Domestic Intelligence): Postings by location show where companies plan to add jobs; those hires reach the county employment counts a few quarters later. (moves the same way; quarters; economy scale) Source: BLS Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (jobs by industry).
- Household Finances (Macro): More openings per jobseeker tend to push wages up, which feeds household income in the national accounts. (moves the same way; months; economy scale) Source: U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (NIPA).
What feeds this page?
- Company Research (Companies): Microsoft's and Amazon's largest cuts are filed in Washington, not California; a company naming hundreds of Redmond or Seattle employees in a notice tends to close openings too, so its count on Job Listings falls. (moves the other way; weeks; company scale) Source: Washington ESD WARN layoff and closure notices.
- Regulatory Exposure (Companies): New obligations such as risk assessments, audits and documentation are met with compliance, legal and safety staff, which show up as job postings. (moves the same way; months; company scale) Source: freehire public API (open job postings crawled from company career sites and job boards).
- Energy Industry (Companies): Oilfield services, pipeline and power builders hire in waves with drilling and construction, and their postings show on Job Listings by industry. (moves the same way; months; sector scale) Source: freehire public API (open job postings crawled from company career sites and job boards).
- Degrees & Colleges (Education): Degrees in fields with many openings (nursing, computing, engineering) supply the hires employers seek; a shortfall shows as postings that stay open. (either way, depending on the cause; months; sector scale) Source: freehire public API (open job postings crawled from company career sites and job boards).
- Job Postings (Feed): The same postings are counted per company on Job Listings, where each company's open and new jobs are read against its own history and its industry. (moves the same way; same day; company scale) Source: freehire public API (open job postings crawled from company career sites and job boards).
- H-1B & Talent (Immigration): The biggest H-1B employers (Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Meta and IT-services firms such as Cognizant and Infosys) are among the largest tech hirers, and their approvals move with their hiring. (moves the same way; months; company scale) Source: USCIS H-1B Employer Data Hub.
- Labor Market (Macro): Job openings in the government's JOLTS survey and companies' own career-site listings tend to rise and fall together, and listings show which employers are pulling back first. (moves the same way; 1-3 months; company scale) Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
