Service Outages
Service Outages is a data page on the Companies desk of Glassbox Auditing. Whether the tracked companies' cloud and software services are up, from their official status pages read every five minutes, with official incidents and status changes. Many businesses run on a few clouds, so an outage at one provider can stop work, sales and flights well beyond that company.

What does this page lead to?
- Cloud Outages (Global Intelligence): Each tracked company's service is one of the providers on Cloud Outages; an AWS or Azure incident here also appears there beside the other providers affected. (moves the same way; same hour; global scale) Source: OutageDeck public API (cloud and SaaS provider status, normalized from official status pages).
- Stock by Stock (Markets): A long, widely felt outage costs the provider service credits and some customers, and can move its shares that day, as CrowdStrike's did after its July 2024 update failure. (moves the other way; same day; company scale) Source: Yahoo Finance prices.
- Courts & Lawsuits (Companies): Major outages draw customer and shareholder suits, such as Delta's against CrowdStrike over the July 2024 outage; service contracts set what is owed. (moves the same way; months; company scale) Source: CourtListener (Free Law Project), RECAP federal dockets and opinions.
- Flights (Travel): Airlines' booking, check-in and crew systems run on these clouds and software, and the July 2024 CrowdStrike failure grounded thousands of flights. What feeds this page?
- Cloud & Hubs (Companies): Companies that run on one cloud go down with it: an AWS or Azure region failing takes their apps and sites offline too. (moves the same way; same hour; company scale) Source: OutageDeck public API (cloud and SaaS provider status, normalized from official status pages).
- Reddit (Feed): Users tend to post about an outage in a service's subreddit within minutes, often before its official status page changes; Service Outages shows the official incidents. (moves the same way; minutes; company scale) Source: OutageDeck public API (cloud and SaaS provider status, normalized from official status pages).
- Cloud Outages (Global Intelligence): Service Outages maps these providers to the tracked companies, so an outage here shows up there against each company that owns or depends on the service. (moves the same way; same day; company scale) Source: OutageDeck public API (cloud and SaaS provider status, normalized from official status pages).
- Transport & Internet (Global Intelligence): Undersea cable cuts slow or cut internet traffic to whole regions, as the 2024 Red Sea cuts did between Asia, the Gulf and Europe, and can show as degraded service at providers routing through them.
