Organized Violence
Organized Violence is a data page on the Global Intelligence desk of Glassbox Auditing. UCDP's annual record of armed conflicts, battle deaths, fighting between non-state groups and violence against civilians since 1989 (armed conflicts since 1946), with its monthly preliminary events. Long wars shrink the economies they are fought in, push people to flee and draw in foreign aid and arms spending.

- Global Data (Global Intelligence): Deadlier conflicts drive more people from their homes, which shows in UNHCR's counts of refugees and internally displaced people by origin country. - United Nations (World Powers): More conflicts and civilian deaths add Security Council resolutions and peacekeeping mandates, which member states pay for through assessed contributions. (moves the same way; months to years; global scale) Source: UCDP/PRIO Armed Conflict Dataset.
- Oil Stress (Macro): Fighting in oil-producing countries can halt output: Libya's exports have stopped several times during its civil conflict, taking barrels off the world market. - Federal Contractors (People & Money): U.S. aid to countries at war, such as Ukraine since 2022, is largely spent with U.S. arms makers, and replacing donated stocks adds new Pentagon contracts. - Health (Global Intelligence): War wrecks water, sanitation and clinics and drives people into crowded camps where cholera and measles spread, as in Yemen from 2016, so deadlier conflicts tend to add outbreak reports and displacement on Health. - Military & Airspace (Global Intelligence): Active wars close the airspace over them to civil flights, as over Ukraine since February 2022, and draw military aircraft that the open ADS-B feeds record whenever their transponders are on.
