What does this page lead to?
- Live Now (Markets): The Big Tech names are the largest weights in SPY, so a group-wide lean in their options is in effect a lean on a large slice of the index. (moves the same way; same day; economy scale) Source: State Street, SPY daily holdings.
- AI Supply Chain (AI): Hyperscalers' data-center spending is revenue for chip, memory, networking and power suppliers, so a shift in how Big Tech options lean tends to show again in those suppliers' options and shares. (moves the same way; same day; sector scale) Source: SEC EDGAR XBRL company facts (10-Q/10-K).
- Risk Monitor (Briefing): The top ten companies' weight in the S&P 500 is a Risk Monitor gauge, and most of them are Big Tech, so a group-wide downside lean in their options bears on that concentration. (either way, depending on the cause; same day; economy scale) Source: State Street, SPY daily holdings.
- Company Reports (Calendar): Most Big Tech companies report within about two weeks of each other each quarter, so the group's open contracts tend to build into that window and fall away after. (either way, depending on the cause; each reporting season; company scale) Source: SEC EDGAR filings (10-Q/10-K text).
- Fear Gauge (VIX) (Briefing): The VIX depends on how much the largest S&P 500 names are expected to move and how closely together (Cboe's implied correlation index); a group-wide rise in Big Tech option prices tends to lift it. (moves the same way; same day; economy scale) Source: Cboe S&P 500 3-Month Implied Correlation Index (COR3M).

- Progress Level (AI): Alphabet, Meta and Microsoft (through OpenAI) and Amazon (through Anthropic) run or fund frontier labs, so a new best model tends to move their shares and option bets, either way depending on who leads. - AI Supply Chain (AI): Hyperscalers' capital-spending plans, given on earnings calls, are the chip and equipment layers' revenue, so a raised or cut plan tends to move both groups' shares and option bets. (either way, depending on the cause; same day; company scale) Source: Yahoo Finance prices.
