What does this page lead to?
- Stock by Stock (Markets): Buybacks retire shares and add a steady bidder for the stock; with fewer shares, the same profit gives higher earnings per share. (moves the same way; quarters; company scale) Source: SEC EDGAR XBRL company facts (10-Q/10-K).
- Bond Issuance (Companies): Companies that repurchase more stock than their free cash flow covers fund the gap with debt, so heavy buybacks tend to come with more bond sales. (moves the same way; quarters; company scale) Source: SEC EDGAR XBRL company facts (10-Q/10-K).
- Labor Market (Macro): Employers file WARN notices at least 60 days before a mass layoff, so a rise in notices at large employers tends to show in jobless claims and payrolls one to two months later. (moves the other way; 1-2 months; economy scale) Source: California EDD WARN layoff notices.
- Job Listings (Companies): Microsoft's and Amazon's largest cuts are filed in Washington, not California; a company naming hundreds of Redmond or Seattle employees in a notice tends to close openings too, so its count on Job Listings falls. (moves the other way; weeks; company scale) Source: Washington ESD WARN layoff and closure notices.
- Influence Sentiment (People & Money): Executives' open-market trades shown here are the same Form 4 records Influence Sentiment counts, so a run of insider buying or selling appears on both. (moves the same way; days; company scale) Source: SEC Insider Transactions Data Sets.
- Supply Map (Companies): The customers a company names in its 10-K for 10% or more of revenue are edges on the Supply Map; losing or gaining one changes both pages. (either way, depending on the cause; quarters; company scale) Source: SEC EDGAR filings (10-Q/10-K text).
- AI Supply Chain (AI): The biggest companies' disclosed purchase commitments and data-center leases are orders already placed with chipmakers, server makers and builders, so rising commitments feed AI supply-chain revenue. (moves the same way; quarters; sector scale) Source: SEC EDGAR filings (10-Q/10-K text).
- Report Reactions (Calendar): Remaining performance obligations are revenue already under contract, so they set part of what the next reports can show: a company whose backlog is large against a year of revenue has more of it contracted ahead of the report, and one whose backlog shrinks has less. (moves the same way; quarters; company scale) Source: SEC EDGAR XBRL company facts (10-Q/10-K).
What feeds this page?
- IPO Watch (Calendar): If the company lists on Nasdaq and ranks among the 40 largest members, the fast-entry rule adds it after 15 trading days (later when a quarterly rebalance falls in that month), adding weight to the largest names shown on Company Research. (moves the same way; about 15 sessions after listing; economy scale) Source: Nasdaq-100 Index methodology (Fast Entry for new listings, effective 1 May 2026).
- IPO History (Calendar): Each past listing's offer terms, profit at listing and first-year path rest on its own prospectus and filings, which Company Research reads. (either way, depending on the cause; the first year; company scale) Source: SEC EDGAR IPO prospectuses (424B4 / 424B1 cover pages: offer price, shares, symbol).
- Valuation (Companies): At a higher P/E each buyback dollar retires fewer shares, so the same spending lifts earnings per share less. (moves the other way; quarters; company scale) Source: SEC EDGAR XBRL company facts (10-Q/10-K).
- Dividend Health (Companies): Dividends and buybacks draw on the same free cash flow; when cover thins, companies tend to cut buybacks first, since managers treat the dividend as the payout to protect. (moves the same way; quarters; company scale) Source: SEC EDGAR XBRL company facts (10-Q/10-K).
- Bond Issuance (Companies): Bond offerings often name share repurchases among the uses of proceeds, so issuance and buybacks tend to rise together. (moves the same way; quarters; company scale) Source: SEC EDGAR filings (10-Q/10-K text).
